There are over 450 species that demonstrate extensive homosexual behavior. Frequently, these behaviors are seen to improve social cooperation within a group. You also find transgendered, polyamorous, bisexual, and otherwise queer animals.
Yet these things are unnatural?
When someone convinces the dolphins, monkeys, fish, giraffes, etc. that they shouldn't be gay because it's unnatural, maybe I'll start to believe your stupid idea that queer = unnatural.

Jun. 8th, 2006 12:13 amWow. I'm watching "Racing Mars" an episode of Babylon 5 from the fourth season. Two male characters are infiltrating Mars and get fake IDs. They are identified as two newlywed men on their honeymoon. The idea is presented reasonably and without fanfare. It's just a fact. THIS is the way GLBT issues should be portrayed, displayed when relevant, but not made a big deal over. *sigh*

Apr. 26th, 2006 10:18 amHOUSE BILL NO. 3004 is a newly OKed bill in Oklahoma to make it illegal to sell video games to minors if they contain a variety of things such as nudity, violence, and sexual conduct. From the text of the bill, 5.� "Sexual conduct" means acts of masturbation, homosexuality, sexual intercourse, or physical contact with a person's clothed or unclothed genitals, pubic area, buttocks, or, if such person be a female, breast;, bolding is mine.
So apparently, it is now illegal to portray same-sex relationships in video games directed at minors. In Oklahoma, at least... *growl*

We are the gender warriors
Jan. 22nd, 2006 07:08 pmThe gender wars have been fought over the past hundred years or so, and will continue to be fought for many years hence. These battles are being fought over the definitions of what "real men" and "real women" are. These battles are being fought on many fronts, and many of those that are doing the fighting on the forefronts are outcast and ostracized for their opinions. But the saddest thing is that these warriors fight not for an ideal, but simply for the right to live as themselves. Who are these gender warriors?
