Tell me about something/someone that you love. Nothing specific... just... talk about it/them. :)

There's this woman I love, who moved to California from Virginia. She is wildly unrestrained, has a sexuality that flows across the entire spectrum of everything, appreciates pain and enjoys delivering it. She reminds me of every woman I meet, and some of the men.

We met one time. Once. On a faintly frosty day in Rhode Island, where I had driven across a whole other state to see her for a few hours in her car. She was married, I was 2 years into a 5-year relationship. It was bliss; this person, this lovely woman who wanted to use me and touch me and seemed to match every twisty little corridor of my mind and heart...she wanted me, really wanted me. Not just my body, not just my soul, me. The whole package.

She got me off that day. I touched her but did not get her off, because we ran out of time. In a car, in a parking lot. Our good luck was that it was a Sunday, and therefore nobody was in the lot.

I still love her today, even though we don't get to talk much any more, and I have no idea if I will ever see her IRL ever again.

But I love her, I love her, I love her.

Hallo Love.

Well, the first thing/person that comes to mind is the relationship I have with [livejournal.com profile] cynan_poly.

We have been together for over 10 years & I consider him to be my closest friend. There has *never* been a harsh word between us in all that time. When there is a problem, we sit down & discuss what is bothering one or the other (or both) about a certain situation or topic that has recently come up. We don't believe in "going to bed angry".

Another thing I love about him is that he does "not have a jealous bone in his body"... He drives me to my dates, & (when I get home) truthfully asks if I had a good time. I wish everyone had the same luck as I have. I just feel so blessed.

That's the guy that started the 'free hugs' campaign. Holding up signs offering free hugs to anyone who wants one. Really beautiful video and he's inspired thousands of people to do the same thing.

We are social animals and our society tends to starve humans of something so basic as touch. I know people who go months maybe even years without touching another person except for a handshake or bumping into someone in a crowd. What a beautiful and simple idea; breaking a stupid and arbitrary taboo that's made all of us a lot less human than we should be.

So I love him. His simple idea is the sort that has the power to change the world.

My mom.
The 89 year-old Jewish mother who accepts my transition from son to daughter and who can't understand not accepting me.
I KNOW how lucky I am.

Ryan is full of compassion, empathy, warmth and love. He exudes love and affection and will give a hug to anyone who asks him. He's also brilliant and witty. He is my heart.

Mira is FULL of life and joy. She's super strong and has razor sharp instincts. She is my lungs.

There once was a girl who wanted to save the world. She thought loving people was all that she had to do. She thought that goodness and beauty, laughter and lots and lots of hugs was all it took. She didn't realize that people falling in love with her was bad for them, just that they'd feel more deeply for it. She hugged people, trees, kitties, and definitely children. She loved to walk barefoot, to lay in the grass and dream about beauty and happiness. She thought there was nothing better in the world than giggling and swinging on the swings and dreaming of the future...

I miss her, but sometimes she still pokes her head out. She loves you and misses you a bunch...the best hugs in the world given by a Joycie-kitty always seemed to make her feel safe enough to appear.

Smile girlie, you've got all kinds of love on your side. *HUGS JOYCIE LIKE ONLY AN AMY CAN*

I have a wonderful boyfriend outside of [livejournal.com profile] fuzzydragon...well really...both the boyfriend and fuzzy are wonderful. Fuzzy is helpful around the house and takes care of me when I'm not feeling well.

The boyfriend is fun to be with and does little things that are sweet and thoughtful.

I love the Beach at the beginning of a storm. Sand between my toes, biting wind and rain in my face and pulling at my clothes. It feels like the world is ending and beginning all at the same time.

I love different people for different reasons and sometimes in spite of themselves and me.

I can't pick any small set of reasons why I love Ardyn and Vulpin, they both speak to my soul and my mind and my heart in thousands of different ways and I feel incredibly blessed that Im married to the one and we date the other.

I love many people in smaller ways, I adore our chosen family, fer instance.

I love learning Chinese. It's a true challenge, yet I seem to be continuously succeeding and building on my knowledge. In the places I grew up there was always a sizeable Chinese population (at least relative to local standards; Bay Area sort of blows me away there) and the writing, on stores and signs and restaurants and newspapers always fascinated me. A whole different way of meaning, and yet to the untrained eye it looks like abstract scratch-art.

And now the abstract scratches are coming to life and turning into *words* and sentences, and even the unfamiliar characters are becoming known to me by their shapes and where they occur (*this* one is always on restaurants, and *this* one seems to mean "happy" or "Asia" or whatnot). And I'm learning to turn those into concepts and from concepts into sounds, and I've never had to work so hard at learning a language, or had so many opportunities to really appreciate the process.

我爱你, by the way. :)

("I love you")

Oblivion.

I love Oblivion.

Not Oblivion in the sense that Mike Tyson TRIED to use it ("I'm gonna knock him into Bolivian!"), but in the following sense:

The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion.

Open-ended Role Playing Game. Gorgeous graphics on my Xbox 360 and 44" HDTV (1080i). Totally immersive. I lose HOURS playing that game. I'm 29 hours into it, and I'm only a little bit through the main quest. So many other things to do. Guilds to join. Caves to find and explore. Quests to do given by people in each town. Open-ended character creation where you can even create your own class and name it. Spells to buy. Horses to ride. NPCs that don't stay still - they have a schedule to their lives and go about their business. I want to be home playing it right now, insted of being at work...

Is it telling that I picked a thing rather than a person? Perhaps I am too guarded for my own good.

I love the way the changing leaves contrast with dark clouds this time of year. I love the smell of fallen leaves. I love the crisp chill of the breeze and the wafting scent of distant woodfires. I love the tang of hot apple cider and the spice of pumpkin lattes. I love the latexy smell of Halloween costumes at Wallgreens. I LOVE OCTOBER.
