Make the issue obvious
Feb. 5th, 2007 11:01 pmI love the idea of this
Take the anti-same sex marriage arguments and put them into law, then watch the natural consequences of them fall out.
I'd love to see people married for 60 years suddenly have their rights revoked because they supported the "anti-gay-marriage" bill.
It would get repealed in a heartbeat, once people realize what they'd done, but the awesome part is that it would make the state a little less anxious to outlaw gay marriage, and it might just make a few people realize that marriage is about more than the ability to pass on genetic material.
